What does my Gleason score mean?

You may have been told a Gleason score as part of a recent biopsy. The Gleason score is a measurement that is given to indicate the aggressiveness of the prostate cancer. Aggressiveness is a medical term used to describe the likelihood of cancer spreading outside the prostate.

It will usually be sent to you as Gleason Score = Z (x + y). It can be helpful to provide it to us at Ben's, as it will give us a better idea of your situation.
